Pollock - New American Modern Art

In December of 1999, I found a book on Jackson Pollock and was intrigued.  The forms, balance, and color were amazing, and I bought every book on his art I could find.  I spent the next 2 years painting and developing my own style, similar but distinctly different to Jackson’s, although his art had the most influence on my style.  My technique continues to evolve.

 Incorporating metallic paints, sand and salt into my work, I apply them to canvas using an alternative method to dripping.  Sometimes, I use several chemicals to produce complex marbling textures and finishes.  Most paintings I finish off with a high gloss polycoat.  Some paintings have a 3D effect.

 I just moved to Maple Valley, which enables me to have a much bigger studio.  Since 2004, I have been selling over 50 paintings a year, mostly from galleries in Washington and New York and some art fairs.  My top price for a sold painting is $7200, but most prices are around &3500 or less.  I have also done some large private installations, for clients back East.
